Nha Trang, Vietnam.

3 days have gone by too quickly. 5 weeks have gone by in a flash. Nha Trang has been a little slice of excitement mixed with relaxation in our journey.

We discovered, browsing the Internet, that an island right next door contains an amusement park/water park… There was no question. We woke up early our second day and took a taxi to the most epic cable car I have ever seen, going from this island to “Vinpearl Land.”

Upon arrival we exchanged looks of “is this real life?” because the entire park was empty. It felt like a dream as we got on every ride without waiting in any sort of line. “is it open yet?” “I dont understand”

After we had our share of the empty amusement park we headed over to the water park which was double the size and just as equally as empty. As soon as we went down our first water slide we knew we had found the best kept secret of Vietnam. A white sand beach, lazy river, about 8 water slides and the entire place to ourselves. And last but not least, parasailing. What an incredible feeling floating above the water in a parachute. And no, parents and grandparents, this hasn’t sparked a need to start sky diving or bungee jumping, but it was incredible and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Feeling a little adventurous we attempted to “go out” last night but only made it to about 9pm.

Today was another adventure. We signed up for a boat tour of the local islands, but little did we know it was a “booze cruise” so the entire boat was filled with Australian frat boys drinking beer and chanting fight songs. I was a little unhappy at first but with our first stop we realized the scenery would be beautiful and any chance to relax in the sun we would take it. It was a long day that went from 8am till 4pm. A lot of Australians.

Tomorrow morning we take a 4 hour bus ride to a town called Dalat, supposedly very influenced by the French and very adorable, but will keep you posted from there!
Let the good times keep on coming…
